Training

 I've been teaching classes in a variety of environments since 1983. Everything from youth summer camps to Upward Bound classes to Elderhostel programs for seniors at the University of Maine; community adult education courses, evening classes at the Northern Maine Vocational Technical College, workshops, tutoring, and corporate IT training sessions. I really enjoy seeing someone's eyes light up the moment he or she first grasps a new concept.
I'm prepared to teach on a variety of IT-related subjects, including home networking, Linux installation/administration, and a number of software development topics. Three types of training services are available:
  • Tailored classes at your place of business or organization.
  • Tutoring - In groups of 1-4, here at my office.
  • Adult Education classes - this is as close to "open source" training as you can get. Adult Ed classes are a bargain anywhere. I have taught computer classes for the Windham Adult Education program in Windham, Maine. Technology Consulting

 The term "consulting" has more or less become a generic term meaning, "to be or not to be an employee". If your organization needs a helping hand, I am available to offer an opinion, analysis or to get my hands dirty assisting with IT-related tasks.

Custom Coding

 If you need some software that is specific to your particular business operation and you can't find any existing software to meet this need, I may be able to help. I have experience writing software for a number of platforms in an assortment of computer languages for a variety of industries.
